Not much of a surprise this place finally closed. Never really appealed to the crowd that shops the Concordville town center. Owners and staff seemed uninterested in improving their service. Sports bar with a large selection of beers and TVs on every wall and hanging from the ceiling. Food menu is okay, nothing to get your interest, just bar food. If you want to watch a game on a Saturday afternoon, this is your place We should have walked out the door, immediately after we walked into Chubby Balboa's.

When real estate started waning a few years ago, developer Kelly DeFeo started collecting restaurant ideas to turn into a sports bar. As the name implies, the interior is aiming for a knockout, with arches and columns reminiscent of a casino's interpretation of ancient Rome, beneath a black, industrial ceiling. About four dozen TVs dot the interior. It's open from lunchtime through late night every day. Ninth St. Adorable dining room includes well-spaced, lacquered wooden tables, dish towels as napkins, sunny flowers, and an open kitchen. A tableau of accordion, guitar, and a bottle of wine sits in the window of the former gift shop.

My husband and I went there for lunch and were 1 of 4 tables occupied. We each ordered a salad, his with chicken, mine with salmon and dressing on the side. We waited and waited and after about 15 minutes the salads came out. John's chicken was overcooked, my salmon was raw in places. I asked the hostess to find our server who was not to be found and asked to have the salmon cooked a bit more.
